Finchley Catholic High School reflect in Solidarity for Refugees

Thank you to the staff and students at Finchley Catholic High School for taking the time to understand more about the refugee crisis and show solidarity with them.

Well done and thank you to our CAFOD Schools Volunteers Annie and Joe who visited the school. Through the visit both staff and students were able to find out more about the Refugee Crisis and the Lampedusa Cross.

The day consisted of a range of activities encouraging us all to think about the effect the Refugee Crisis is having on our brothers and sister throughout the world. CAFOD Schools Volunteer Annie said: “I did pilgrimage and was impressed with their mature approach and willingness to participate.”

The visit continued with  CAFOD’s On the Move activity, which is a simulation activity inviting students and young people to follow a refugee family on their journey to safety.

CAFOD Westminster would like to take the opportunity to thank all the staff and students who participated in the pilgrimage and activities. We would also like to thank our lovely Schools Volunteers Annie and Joe for inspiring students to think about refugees throughout the world.
