A year of Live Simply at St John Vianney, West Green

Thank you to the Parish of St John Vianney, West Green for the ongoing commitment to Live Simply.

Though 2016 has drawn to a close, the parish of St John Vianney have continued their great work and commitment to Live Simply.

In 2015 the parish organised:

  • Installed a Bicycle Rack
  • CAFOD ‘Turn up save lives’ in Houses of Parliament 0.7% GDP to overseas development March 2015
  • BBC filming of Live Simply at St John Vianneys

Their great work continued throughout 2016:

  • Vegetarian Meal at St John Vianneys
  • Migrant Collection of food, clothing etc. on altar
  • Migrant Collection of food, clothing etc. in sacristy

CAFOD would like to thank the parish for committing to the Live Simply award and wish them all the best with all their future endeavours!

What is the Live Simply award?
The Live Simply award is an opportunity for Catholic communities – parishes, schools, religious orders and chaplaincies – to respond to Pope Francis’ invitation to “work with generosity and tenderness in protecting this world which God has entrusted to us”.
