During the month of November, CAFOD remembers deceased loved ones who have supported our work over the years.
Last week we were able to host a Memorial Mass at the Church of Christ The King, Cockfosters. Over the years, CAFOD has been blessed to work alongside the most committed friends any charity could hope for and last Wednesday 23 November we were able to remember them.
At the Mass CAFOD Volunteers were able to present a book of Remembrance with names of deceased loved ones, and Candlelight Fund supporters, which was blessed by the Father Sebastian Ostrynski at the Mass.
“The Mass was beautiful. It provided a time to reflect on those that have passed away in the recent months and years, as well as a time to think about the importance of why we support CAFOD” (CAFOD Office Volunteer Ellen)
The Mass was well attended by parishioners and CAFOD supporters alike, with refreshments served afterwards. CAFOD Volunteers in each diocese around the country, arrange a Memorial Mass every year and we intend to continue with this tradition in the Westminster diocese next year.
CAFOD would like to thank the parish of The Church of Christ the King, Cockfosters for hosting the event.
