‘Will you join Nicanora on a two-year journey to transform her life?’ Get Hands On with the people of the Altiplano and join the journey.

Details will be given as to: How you are helping the poor and marginalised communities within the country. We are excited to have visiting guest speakers at both events!

At the Amigo Hall the visiting speaker will be Tania Dalton, who works on the Latin America  Team.

The visiting speaker at Oakwood is Nikki Evans, who is CAFOD’s representative for  Bolivia for the past 3 years; giving first-hand account of CAFOD’s work in Bolivia.

There is also opportunity to meet other CAFOD volunteers and unpack the Parish resources for the forthcoming Harvest Fast Day on Friday October 7th.

There are two dates which you are able to pick from:

The first is Saturday 3rd September, at Amigo Hall London, 10am-1.30pm.

Directions to get to the event are below:
Public Transport: For those of you travelling to attend this event via underground services, it is worth noting that Lambeth North is currently closed for essential lift replacement works. We suggest travelling to Waterloo underground station instead.

The second is Saturday 17th September, at the Catholic Church of Christ the King, N14 4HE, 10am-12pm.

Directions to get to the event are below:
From Oakwood Station (Piccadilly Line): On exiting station, cross car park and turn left along the main road (A110 Bramley Road – NB this is the only flat road away from the station, if you find yourself going downhill you have gone wrong!). Continue along this road for about 10 minutes, passing Pan Elis Grill on your right, a parade of shops on your left and crossing Reservoir Road. You will see the church on your left, set back from the road. It is a sandy-coloured brick building with a large red cross and the words Vita et Pax on its façade.

From M25: Leave M25 at Junction 24 (Potters Bar) and take A111 towards Cockfosters (if travelling from West/clockwise on M25 this will be the fourth exit at roundabout, if travelling from East/anticlockwise it will be the second exit). Continue along A111 for about 10 minutes, crossing several mini roundabouts then passing Trent Park and Cockfosters station on your left and driving past a strip of shops/restaurants in Cockfosters. At the big roundabout take the left/first exit onto the A110 Bramley Road sign-posted Enfield. You will pass one set of bus stops just as you leave the roundabout. Look out for the next bus stops. The turning into the church car park is on your right, just past the next bus stop on your right but before you reach the next bus stop on your left. Parking is available in the car park in front of the church.

Enter the church by the door towards the left-hand end of the building. You will see a shop and parish office on your left and the chapel on your right. Ahead of you are some stairs. Climb these and turn left at the top. Ahead of you is a door with glass windows in it. Ring the bell for CAFOD to its right.
