At CAFOD, our volunteers in the Diocese of Westminster are instrumental in raising awareness of the work that we do. From fundraising and campaigning to public speaking or working in our office, there are many ways to help. CAFOD volunteers can work with pupils in primary or secondary schools, speak to their fellow parishioners at Mass, and organise parish events. Others speak out against injustice, by taking action in our One Climate One World campaign or writing to their MPs to urge them to speak up for the developing world.
Why not make it your New Year’s resolution to volunteer for CAFOD and help our brothers and sisters living in the world’s poorest communities? CAFOD is especially keen to hear from people with excellent communication skills who would like to work with schools, youth, and confirmation groups.
If you’re interested in learning more about volunteering, please join us at our annual Understanding CAFOD Day on Saturday 23 January 2016 at Church of Christ the King, Oakwood, N14 4HE, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet with CAFOD volunteers and staff to learn more about the scope of CAFOD’s work and how you can get involved. For more information contact CAFOD Westminster volunteer centre on 0208 449 6970 or firstname.lastname@example.org or book a place book at place at https://understandingcafod2016.eventbrite.co.uk
