Holy Family Group in Welwyn Garden City raises money through Connect2

Holy Family barbeque

A big thank you to parishioners in Welwyn Garden City, who have raised an incredible £1020 towards our work in Sebeya, Ethiopia. The money will go towards supporting CAFOD’s partner Adigrat Diocese Catholic Secretariat (ADCS) who are working with the community in Sebeya on land irrigation, building and repairing water pumps and providing business skills training, among other projects.

The Holy Family Group, who are part of CAFOD’s Connect2 scheme, organised a number of events over the summer, including a Strawberry Afternoon Tea and a Barbeque. Attendees enjoyed delicious homemade treats and, despite the English summer weather, a great time was had by all. Thank you also to Sandy and Bob Leys for hosting the events.

Connect2 is a wonderful way of connecting with communities all over the world, and seeing first-hand the impact that your donations will have on the lives of others. In addition, parishioners have the opportunity to exchange messages of support and solidarity, and share their lives with communities overseas. Get your parish involved in Connect2.

Holy Family Group have been supporting CAFOD for 40 years, and we hugely appreciate all your support.
