Fairtrade fortnight runs from 23 February to 8 March 2015 so why not get started and celebrate Shrove Tuesday with Fairtrade Pancakes?

All the toppings suggested below can be made with Fairtrade products. Fairtrade helps ensure that farmers and producers receive a fair wage for their work, one that enables them to provide for themselves and their families and give back to their community.

Fairtrade toppings

Classic lemon and sugar

Banana and chocolate spread

Chocolate and ice cream

Honey and fruit and nut

Help make Westminster a Fairtrade diocese!

CAFOD and Westminster Justice and Peace are continuing to work towards our goal of making Westminster a Fairtrade Diocese. And we’re nearly there! With just over three months to go until Fairtrade Fortnight 2015, we’re less than 20 parishes short. Could your parish be the one that makes the difference?

For your parish to be certified as Fairtrade, it will need to:

  •  Serve Fairtrade tea and coffee at parish meetings and events;
  • Use other Fairtrade products (e.g. sugar, fruit, biscuits) where possible;
  • Promote Fairtrade Fortnight and/or other Fairtrade events through the year;
  • Complete and return the Fairtrade parish application form (visit cafod.org.uk/fairtrade).

Once more than half the parishes have been certified, Westminster will then become a Fairtrade Diocese.  If you would like a Fairtrade application form to be sent to you, please contact us on 0208 449 6970 or westminster@cafod.org.uk
