Supporting CAFOD’s Ebola Appeal in your parish

Ebola Appeal Poster for parishesAs I am sure you are aware, the deadliest outbreak of the Ebola virus in recorded history is gripping West Africa. There are now over 10,000 people infected and more than 4,500 people have died from the virus. In view of the seriousness of the situation, the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) has launched a major appeal, with CAFOD joining them in launching our emergency Ebola Crisis Appeal. By taking robust action now, we can save lives and play our part in halting the spread of this virus.

If your parish priest has decided to hold a collection to support CAFOD’s Ebola Crisis Appeal you can help your parish prepare by:

  1. Ordering gift aid envelopes using the CAFOD Shop online at http://goo.gl/QG4ZQP; by calling 020 7095 5682, or by emailing communityfundraising@cafod.org.uk.
If you are not using envelopes, please download gift aid declaration forms.
  2. Helping to promote the appeal by downloading an appeal poster to print and display in the parish.
  3. Returning the parish donation with the donation coupon. This helps us ensure your donation is quickly processed.

The poster, gift aid forms and donation coupon can all be downloaded from CAFOD’s homepage: cafod.org.uk.

Donations should continue to be sent direct to CAFOD at CAFOD Westminster, Church of Christ the King, 29 Bramley Road, London, N14 4HE rather than to the DEC.
Thank you for your continued support for our work. Please keep our partners and the communities they serve in your prayers at this critical time. Your parish might like to download prayers and intercessions, written for those affected by Ebola, which are available at: www.cafod.org.uk/pray.?????
