Westminster volunteer runs the Great South Run for CAFOD!

A big thank you to Kevin Lawler, who completed the Great South Run for CAFOD last Sunday!

??????????

Kevin, 60, joined thousands of runners for the 10 mile run on Sunday, 26 October. The run takes place through Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, taking in the sights of the Spinaker Tower, the HMS Victory and Portsmouth Cathedral.

Thanks again to Kevin for his fantastic efforts to fundraise for CAFOD! Summer may be behind us, but it is not too late to take part in a sponsored event to raise money for CAFOD! On Saturday, 6 December, CAFOD is once again teaming up with Innovation Sports for our annual Nativity Run! Join us for 5k, 10k or a festive toddle around Clapham Common dressed as Mary, a Shepherd, an Angel, or any other nativity character to run, before warming up with a mince pie and fairtrade hot drink.

If you want to get into the festive spirit but can’t make the run, why not get a head start on your Christmas shopping by choosing CAFOD’s World Gifts? World Gifts are not only unique, but help make a real difference to people living in developing communities around the world. Gifts range from helping a child learn to read or supporting a small farmer with tools and seeds, to helping a community to establish its own health care clinic. The recipient of the gift will receive a beautifully illustrated card showing them the benefit that their gift has had. You could even fundraise collectively and create a “virtual village” showing just how much of an impact your gifts are making.
