Southgate volunteer Rhian spreads CAFOD’s message at V Festival!

A big thank you to Rhian Hanson, from Southgate, who joined CAFOD‘s team of volunteers at this year’s V Festival to spread the word about our work tackling hunger in developing communities around the world!

On the weekend of 16 and 17 August, Rhian and seven other volunteers made their way to Chelmsford for the two-day festival. They set up a stall near the music stages and ventured out into the crowds to talk to festival goers about CAFOD’s work with people living in poverty overseas.

“It was great helping CAFOD at the V Festival,” Rhian told the Enfield Advertiser. “Being able to raise awareness of an important agency while also having fun was really rewarding. Most people were very co-operative and willing to listen to the important message we were spreading.”

In addition to helping raise awareness for CAFOD, the volunteers also got the chance to enjoy acts such as Justin Timberlake and Ed Sheeran.

Thanks again to Rhian and the other volunteers who represented CAFOD at the festival. You can read more about Rhian’s V Festival experience on the websites of the Enfield Advertiser and the Enfield Independent, both of which ran articles about her fantastic work!
