On Saturday, 13 September, the Hertfordshire Justice and Peace network will host an event to commemorate the two World Wars, and contemplate what lessons we can take from them to apply to the present day.
The day, entitled The Two World Wars, will include talks from guest speakers Lydia Safir, from the Imperial War Museum, and Scott Albrecht, from the Catholic Workers Farm. You are also invited to bring along any letters, mementos or items of interest which connect you or you family to the World Wars, for sharing and reflection in small groups.
The day will run from 9.30am to 3pm at Our Lady Queen of Apostles, Welwyn Garden City, 141 Woodhall Lane, AL7 3TP. Entry will cost £5. Lunch will be available, prepared by the Catholic Women’s League, with all profits to be donated to CAFOD.
