A big thank you to all the pupils, parents and staff at St Joesph’s Primary, South Kensington, for raising more than £650 for CAFOD!
In January, the school responded to CAFOD’s appeal following Typhoon Haiyan, raising an incredible £468.84 to help people affected by the disaster to rebuild their lives. They continued their fantastic work later in the year, raising a further £222.93 for CAFOD’s Lent Fast Day appeal.
CAFOD volunteer Pat Morris visited the school recently to pass on our thanks for all their hard work. “It was a real pleasure to interact with the children,” said Pat. “I hope they have learnt something about CAFOD.”
With Harvest Fast Day on the horizon, CAFOD’s team of volunteers are ready to visit schools and youth groups throughout the Westminster Diocese for assembly or classroom sessions. Inviting a CAFOD speaker to your school is a wonderful way for children and young people to learn about some of the most important issues facing the global community, and how they can get involved to help end problems like hunger and climate change. To arrange a visit, contact CAFOD Westminster on 0208 449 6970 or westminster@cafod.org.uk.
