Congratulations and well done to all of the participants of this year’s Children Cycle Against Hunger cycle ride at Our Lady Queen of All Creation, Hemel Hempstead!
This year 30 children got on their helmets and took to their bicycles, tricycles, scooters and more, riding a custom-built route around the parish car park, all to raise money to help CAFOD’s poverty fighting work overseas.
Halfway through the ride, everyone paused to share in a celebratory cake custom decorated for the occasion.
Thank you very much to volunteer Andy McCarthy and his team of volunteers who helped to organise such a successful event, and to Fr Legge and all of the parishioners at Our Lady Queen of All Creation for their generous support!
Bike rides are just one way to enjoy the beautiful summer weather while helping in the fight against poverty and injustice. If you’re looking to make use of your new running shoes, why not join Team CAFOD on a sponsored event, such as the Great South Run (26 October) or Yorkshire Marathon (12 October)? Or if you fancy something a bit more relaxed, why not organise a sponsored walk or a pilgrimage? However you get involved, your support is helping CAFOD to go that much further in the fight to bring an end to poverty.
