Thank you to St Joseph’s Primary School, Hertford, for inviting CAFOD to come and give a Hungry for Change assembly!
On Monday, 21 October, pupils welcomed CAFOD volunteers Lesley Waite and Angela Bow for an assembly about CAFOD and Hungry for Change. The children listened attentively as Angela and Lesley explained how CAFOD works with partners around the world to help improve the lives of those living with poverty, injustice, hunger and illness. They also told the pupils about the Hungry for Change campaign and its goal to redress the imbalance in the global food system and ensure that the one in eight people who currently go hungry each night get enough to eat.
Thanks once again to Lesley and Angela for helping to inspire a future generation of CAFOD supporters and best wishes to St Joseph’s for their upcoming Advent appeal. If you would like a CAFOD volunteer to visit your school or youth group, get in touch with us on 0208 449 6970 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
