Rachel Caterer and Gary Hall celebrate after completing the Royal Parks Half Marathon last year

Best of luck to CAFOD volunteer Rachel Caterer, who’s taken on the challenge of yet another half-marathon to help support CAFOD’s poverty fighting work overseas!
Having overcome a number of injuries during training, Rachel will be running—and celebrating her birthday—in the Bournemouth Half Marathon this Sunday, 6 October.

She writes:
“Here I go, having vowed never to run a half marathon again I go and get myself a house mate as mad as I was last year who ‘encouraged’ me to sign up for another half marathon. Please help inspire me to dig deep when the pain sets in (at about 5 miles into my 13 mile run!) and help raise funds for CAFOD so we can help others to help themselves out of poverty and oppression.

This event is next Sunday 6th October – the observant amongst you will see that yet again it falls on my birthday weekend so if you fancy sending me a birthday message feel free to do so along with your donation on line at http://www.justgiving.com/Rachel-Caterer1 ”
Good luck Rachel!
