Great news for anyone that wants to have an amazing summer festival experience and help work to put an end to world hunger at the same time: CAFOD is looking for volunteers for this year’s Greenbelt Festival!
Taking place at Cheltenham Race Course from Friday 23 to Monday 26 August, Greenbelt brings together great live music, hilarious comedy, inspiring talks and delicious world food at the largest Christian festival in the UK. Following on from their success in previous years, CAFOD’s energetic team of volunteers will once again be present, helping to spread the word about CAFOD and Hungry for Change to other young Christians. Why not join them?
Last year, Westminster volunteer Nathan Nye joined the CAFOD team at the festival, where they managed to encourage more than 1700 people to engage with the campaign over the course of the weekend.
“I have never come home from a festival feeling so revitalised and fresh,” said Nathan. “I can think of no better way to describe Green Belt than food for your mind, food for your heart and food for your soul. The hearty nourishment I received at Green Belt makes me think of those around the world who won’t have enough food to eat today.”
We’re looking for more volunteers this year who would like to come and help us campaign, encouraging festival goers to get involved and sign our petition. You’ll need to be passionate about creating change, have lots of energy and enthusiasm, and love meeting and talking to new people. In return you will receive a free ticket to the festival with camping, food vouchers, and the chance to join our fun and friendly team as you work together to change the world.
Volunteers must be available from Thursday 22 to Tuesday 27 August and preferably over 18 years old. If you are interested in making the most of this fantastic opportunity or would like to find out more, get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 0208 449 6970.
