On Sunday 21 April, supporters will be running a gruelling 26 miles in support of CAFOD’s work in developing countries around the world. CAFOD is in need of volunteers to help support those taking part on the day. This will include activities such as cheering the runners on at key points along the course and manning the CAFOD stall.
In particular, CAFOD is looking for two experienced masseuses who can provide massages to our runners at the reception, which will run from about 12.30 to 5pm. If you are a qualified masseuse or know of anybody you can recommend, please get in touch with us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 0208 449 6970. CAFOD will be able to cover costs for any transport or supplies used, as well as providing refreshment.
Although CAFOD has no charity places for runners left, if you or anybody you know has been lucky enough to secure your own place and want to help support CAFOD as you run, please get in touch with us, or visit the Sponsored Event page on CAFOD’s website here for more details.
You don’t have to be an athlete to raise money for CAFOD. Supporters are constantly coming up with new and ingenious ideas for fundraising, such as being sponsored to remember the digits of Pi. A great way to start forming your own fundraising ideas is to check out CAFOD’s A-Z of fundraising which can be found on the CAFOD website here.
