St Cross RC Primary, Hoddesdon, shares their Harvest with the hungry

Many thanks to all the children, parents and staff at St Cross RC Primary, Hoddesdon, for holding a wonderful Harvest celebration in solidarity with people who do not have enough to eat.

The activities began with the children writing their own prayers for the hungry and decorating paper plates and placemats. These were then laminated and used by the pupils at their special Harvest lunch. There was also an assembly at which the children learnt more about CAFOD and re-enacted the miracle of the feeding of the 5000.

Thank you once again to all the children, staff and families at St Cross. Through their generosity, the school raised a total of £350 for CAFOD’s Harvest appeal. This is enough to provide tools, seeds and livestock for seven farmers in the developing world.

Raising money is just one way to help those living in hunger. You can also help those without enough food by taking action in CAFOD’s Hungry for Change campaign!
