CAFOD is very sad to report the death of School’s volunteer Joan Angland.
Joan has actively represented CAFOD as a Schools Volunteer since February 2009. Joan had previously taught in St Mary’s Primary School where she was a very popular teacher for over 27 years.
Her funeral took place today, Friday, 21st September, in a very full Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus, Quex Road, Kilburn NW6 4PS.
Joan loved the work of CAFOD and children and enjoyed speaking in schools around the Diocese. She was also active in her parish Justice and Peace and Integrity of Creation Group.
We pass on our condolences and prayers to her family, particularly her husband Timmy Joe, her daughter Kate Marie and her husband Stephen, grandaughter Charlotte, and her brother Fr Mike Burgess who celebrated the Funeral Mass earlier today.
May she RIP.
Thank you so very much for this beautiful tribute to my darling sister Joan. May God bless you all.
Sincerely
Mike Burgess OFM Cap
