Our Lady of Czestochowa & St Casimir raises over £600 for CAFOD!

Many thanks to Our Lady of Czestochowa & St Casimir, London,  for hosting a fundraising and campaigning evening for CAFOD’s Lent Appeal and Thirst for Change campaign.

(L to R) Ania, Marta, and Hubert make a stand against water poverty for CAFOD!

Nearly 120 people, including the parish priest, attended the event, which featured live music from Hubert Ignatowicz andhis band.  CAFOD’s Anna Cronin-Nowakowska, also gave a brief presentation on the Thirst for Change Campaign, and encouraged everyone to share their thoughts on water with David Cameron by signing campaign cards and writing messages on water droplets.

The evening raised over £600 for CAFOD.  Thanks to Match Giving, the UK Government will make a matching donation for every pound raised.  In total, this event raised over £1,200 for CAFOD!  Well done and many thanks!

Special thanks also to Hubert Ignatowicz and Marta Niedzielska for organising the evening, to Anna Cronin-Nowakowska for presenting, and to all who attended for their generosity and support of CAFOD.
