CAFOD raises £1 million (and counting) during Lent!

Rosena, 11yrs, from Zambia, drinking clean water from the CAFOD-funded borehole in her village. I would like to say: Menda mbo mumi, which means Water is Life in our language Tonga.

Breaking news from CAFOD HQ:

Our very generous and dedicated supporters have already raised £1 million pounds so far for our Lent Appeal, and this is just from individual giving, before we receive the majority of school and parish donations.

Please continue to help us double the impact we have on the lives of the world’s poorest communities, with UK Aid match funding from the Government.  Remember, the Government will match up to £5 million for our appeal!

Thank you to all our supporters in Westminster! Your efforts and generosity have been exceptional and will help us make a tremendous impact on poverty!

But remember, there’s still plenty of time to get your family, friends, school, or parish community involved in a fundraising event this Lent.  From hosting a yummy and scrumptious soup lunch, to forming your own rivers of change, walking, abseiling, or even kicking a football back and forth for a while, the opportunities are endless!

Come on Westminster!
