Job opportunity at CAFOD Westminster

Tony and Eileen of CAFOD Westminster

I am pleased to announce that I am expecting my second child in May and that the post of Diocesan Officer, Maternity Cover, has just been advertised on the CAFOD website:

As a Diocesan Oficer you will be responsible for maintaining an efficient local office base for our work in the Westminster diocese, working with Tony, the CAFOD Diocesan Manager, and volunteers to develop and promote our work across the Catholic community in parishes and schools.

You will be responsible for the management and administration of the office, including supervision of office volunteers, be proficient in MS Office and be able to manage a demanding and diverse workload. Experience with databases is an advantage. You will have strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. You will be actively involved in the Catholic community and have a strong interest in the issues of overseas development and global justice. The role will also involve a specialist focus in Youth or Parish work and the ability to present to either group about CAFOD’s work.

This really is an interesting and varied job, combining office administration and the opportunity to meet and present to CAFOD supporters at events and in parishes and schools.

Closing date 12th February 2012.

And please do pass on the details to anyone you know who may be interested,
