However small and insignificant it may seem, together we can achieve change

Dom Pedro Casaldáliga said “ You are the people of hope, you are the people of Easter, a better world is possible”

I am now back in London at the CAFOD Westminster office, following my long journey and inspirational time with CAFOD partners in Brazil.

It has been an honour for me to visit our partners, learn about their work and meet some of the people they work alongside, who benefit from our work, as they fight against poverty and injustice every day.

The work of our partners CPT (Land Commission of the Brazilian Catholic Church)  in Mato Grosso and with APOIO and MDF (Movimento de Defensa do Favelas) in Sao Paulo is incredible.

I have been humbled by the welcome that I have received from people who live facing abject poverty and who continue to experience unimaginable challenges.

As I return to work in the Westminster Diocese, I am conscious of the appreciation from our partners and the poor towards CAFOD and its generous supporters inEnglandandWales.

Thank you on their behalf and ours for your generosity, kindness, solidarity and prayer.

I would be very happy to give a talk in your parish of school about CAFOD’s work in Brazil and how you can join Connect 2.

Please give the Westminster office a call on 020 8449 6970 if you would like any further information.

Thanks for your support.

I’ll leave you with the words of some inspirational people.
