Emet and Theo write>>
Travelling through Korogocho slum we both felt threatened and disorientated due to the horrific sights. However, on exiting the car we were immediately swarmed by a group of smiling children wanting to hug us. I (Emet) was overwhelmed by the children as I have never experienced such an emotional moment where by the look on their face lit up purely because our presence symbolised hope. I (Theo) felt immediately welcomed and instantly my fears vanished.
Throughout the day the children continued to follow us as if we were celebs.
What summed up these children is whenever you are standing with your arms by your side, a little child would come and hold your hand just smiling at you, highlighting their wonderful, warming nature even though they life is a real struggle.
